Cosnova is the German group behind essence and CATRICE. Its Innovation Lab developed Matched, a service that compares cosmetic products: given a lipstick or a foundation, it finds the closest matches on the market and shows how much you save by choosing them.
Since 2020 we have worked with the lab’s innovation manager. Requests often start with a question about materials: what withstands a solvent, how thin a sheet can go, how to preserve a sample that stays fragile even when dry.
We tested a range of materials, from vegetable-tanned leather to ultra-thin acetates. We produced the equipment for the lab’s work, including all the MDF stands. The first deliveries left on pallets for Germany, in batches with tight deadlines.
