We are here

Our lab in via Boncompagni, where we produce the studio’s work, is also a FabLab: we open it to schools, associations, young businesses and the people who live in the neighbourhood, to learn how to design and make.

Make things, not slides

FabLabs were born to put the tools of digital fabrication in the hands of anyone with an idea, and to share what is learned. We opened the studio in 2009 with the same conviction, summed up in a motto: make things, not slides. You only really understand an idea when you build it.

Vectorealism FabLab is registered in the international FabLab network.

What happens here

Open studio

We open the lab during the city’s events, such as Di Studio in Studio: visitors see our research on materials and the prototypes we are working on.

Mentorship

We guide young creatives and small businesses from the first drawing to the prototype, through a programme that began with Booster and continues beyond the project.

Europe

We host Erasmus+ student mobilities and take part in European projects on digital fabrication training.

Booster

With Booster, selected by the City of Milan in the Mi15 public call, within the programme for the civil economy in neighbourhoods, we expanded the FabLab to make it a local service for the area.

The project, completed in 2023, brought new equipment to the lab, a calendar of workshops open to the city on laser cutting, CNC milling, 3D printing, heat pressing and embroidery, and a mentorship programme for young creatives and small businesses, which continues today.
