Description
Clear resin is a rigid photopolymer printed with technology SLA (stereolithography). The model is created from a liquid resin, solidified layer by layer by a UV laser with a resolution of up to 25 µm (0.025 mm). The result is an object with a perfectly smooth surface and a level of detail among the highest available in the 3D printing.
The material is naturally translucent and can be polished to a transparent glass-like effect. It is the ideal choice for aesthetic prototypes, architectural models, presentation packaging, decorative elements, prototype lenses, and any application where visual appearance and transparency are priorities.
When to choose transparent resin
SLA resin offers the best surface quality and detail of all 3D printing materials, resulting in parts very similar to those obtained through injection molding. However, it is not suitable for functional parts subjected to mechanical loads: the resin is relatively brittle and has limited elongation at break. For functional prototypes and structural parts, SLA resins are more suitable. nylon PA12 SLS or the nylon PA12 MJF.
Important note: Resin is a UV-sensitive photopolymer. With prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, the piece may yellow and warp slightly. Not suitable for outdoor use or prolonged exposure to light.
Supports and post-processing
SLA technology requires the creation of support structures During printing. Supports are positioned to minimize aesthetic impact and mechanically removed after printing. Traces may remain on the piece at the anchor points; these can be removed with fine sandpaper.
Available finishes
Raw (crude) – Supports removed, natural smooth surface. The material appears translucent.
Manual polishing – sanding and polishing to achieve a higher level of transparency, with a glass-like effect. Polishing may cause a slight loss of detail on the finished surfaces.
Painting – it is possible to paint the piece to obtain matte, colored or metallic finishes, maintaining the surface quality of the resin.

Maximum printable volume
145 × 145 × 175 mm
SLA technology is suitable for small to medium-sized objects. For larger pieces, consider nylon PA12 SLS (up to 677 × 368 × 565 mm).
You can not insert multiple objects into a single template / file.
